Samini opens up on featuring Kinaata, Kaakie, Stonebwoy on new album, ORIGIN8A
In an interview with 3Music Network shared on X on February 13, 2026, the dancehall musician stated that he chose to highlight these people in order to share a narrative about his significant contributions to the music industry.
“Yes! It all comes together so you understand the story of where we are coming from,” he said.
He further explained that the title of his 16-track album, ORIGIN8A, was chosen to both introduce new artists and serve as a reminder to music fans of his consistency in the business.
“History has it that do we stuff and people come and they have to learn, so when you get the chance to reaffirm and reannounce whatever it is, you have to make sure that you do it in the right manner.
“So, being the 8th time coming with an album, I thought I will remind those who have just gotten to know me that it has been a long time coming and I am an originator (ORIGIN8A) of something that is here and has come to stay,” he added.
