The Deputy General Secretary in charge of Administration at the Ghana Football Association, Ama Brobey, has called on supporters to troop to the stadium in their numbers for Sunday’s Super Clash between Asante Kotoko SC and Accra Hearts of Oak.

Ghana’s two most successful clubs will once again lock horns at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on 15 February, with kick-off set for 17:00 GMT.

Brobey described the encounter as a defining moment for the domestic game, stressing that the fixture goes beyond league points and symbolises the passion and unity of Ghanaian football. She urged fans across the country to show strong backing for the league by filling the stands in Kumasi.

Hearts approach the contest eager to make amends after suffering a 1-0 defeat in the reverse fixture earlier this season. Yet recent meetings tilt in favour of Kotoko. Over their last 10 encounters, the Porcupine Warriors have secured five victories and three draws, while the Phobians have recorded two wins.

The battle also carries significant implications for the table. Hearts currently occupy fourth place with 36 points, just one point ahead of fifth-placed Kotoko.

With pride, bragging rights and crucial league positions at stake, Sunday’s clash promises another intense chapter in Ghana’s most storied football rivalry.
